Testing customer emails

Does anybody know if it is possible to test customer emails in xcart.

I'm just tweaking the text and layout of confirmation emails but it's a hard slog having to process an order each time to recieve the emails is there a way that these can be sent/ tested without having to place an order?

Cheers.

Re: Testing customer emails

How about plain text and HTML emails:

I've tried viewing my emails in plain text in Outlook to see how they look . . . they look bad!

However this is because plain text versions are still being generated from the HTML template files (because changes I make to the html templates are also being reflected in plain text messages).

I'm wondering whether the email headers are being sent out correctly and whether anyone else has experienced this in version 4.3.0?

Re: Testing customer emails

You can force a remailing by changing the status of the order (only certain changes send emails) - or if you have AOM you can edit the order and when you save it gives you the option of sending a customer email.
