Contact Form Resets all fields, if just one error by user
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to change the Contact Form habit of resetting all fields when there is an error upon submit?
If the user hasn't filled in all the required fields (lets say they forget one field) and then they press submit, ALL of the fields reset to [blank], with the note at the top stating 'required field..blah blah. This is a pain, because then the user has to go through and enter all of the information again, instead of just the one field they forgot. Is this a bug, and what can I do to fix this? Thanks. |

Hi Mike,
I don't know it's bug with 4.0.13 version but in my version4.1.7 & in current version of xcart it's not resetting fields even if it's submitted with error. It's should just display error for empty or wrong field. |

Thanks for the reply.
It does display the error, that's not the problem. It's just that it also resets every field to blank, instead of leaving the values entered in each field already and then directing the user to fill in the remaining fields. Not sure why it's doing this, but very annoying to make the user reenter all of the information. |

4.0.13 was EXTREMELY buggy, and should not be used for a live site. I'd strongly suggest upgrading to at least the stable release for that branch which was 4.0.19

The form reset issue is with the store we're currently working on...version 4.3

Just tested it on my 4.3.1, doesn't delete anything.
