Two-column categories in 4.0
1 Attachment(s)
Hi.
I've searched around for a solution to this, but haven't found one yet. I'm hoping you knights in shining armor can help. In 4.0.19, I set up a root category, Buttons. When finished, it will have 12-15 subcategories -- probably more than will fit even on a 1024 x 800 screen (which I used for the screenshot). I'd like to be able to have two identical columns so a user won't need to scroll down to see all the subcategories. Anyone have a fix for this? I can program tables, but I'm scared to go into the templates to do so. Thanks!!!! |
Re: Two-column categories in 4.0
Its been awhile since I worked with 4.0.x but what if you modified the table in subcategories.tpl so that is was twice as many cells wide as it is now and loop 2 subcategories instead of the 1 it does by default?

That's what I'd like to do, John, but I don't know how to allow for the looping.
Maybe I should look at the template before whining, eh? Thanks for the response. |
Re: Two-column categories in 4.0
Does anyone else have a suggestion? I sort of have it fixed, but not to my satisfaction.
Thanks! |
