Adding Image under Navigation Menu
 

This is probably simple, but for the life of me I can't figure this out.

I'm trying to add an image under (not inside) the navigation menu on the left that will be a shipping image (UPS symbol and text about free shipping) that will be a link to my shipping policies page, on the other side under the login menu I want to add an image (cards accepted) that will be a link to my payment policies page.

Which template do I edit and what exactly would I insert? I'm very familiar with html but smarty has me perplexed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look at skin1/customer/home.tpl. In it you will see an area marked as "<!-- central space -->", and then after that ends you will see <div id="left-bar"> and further down <div id="right-bar"> with a list of "ifs" in between. That is where you add what you want.
