The manual says, "In the X-Cart root directory, locate the file 'install-file-xx-xx-xx-xxxxx.php' where the symbol 'x' stands for
the numbers and letters (e.g. 'install-file-09-01-22-077ce.php') and rename it to 'install.php'."

Where exactly do I find this root directory?

How do I edit the appearance of my website?

I want to change the picture of jewelry, the banner, & the contact link on the bottom right.

Also, can the width/length be modified?

the jewelry picture will be located in skin1/customer/main/welcome.tpl

The contact link bottom right is in skin1/main/bottom.tpl

Im not sure what banner you are referring to.

Nikko - also please add the version of x-cart to your signature since answer are often version dependent.

You can find this info in your admin under summary.

colors are contolled by the CSS
