X-cart to PDF Catalog
We are using X-cart 4.1.8 and currently we have about 65,000 parts online. We have been looking for a way to generate a PDF catalog, can someone make a recommendation on a software to use to steps to use to generate a PDF catalog of our online store?
Thanks in advance. Kevin |

Our Printable Online Catalog doesn't support PDF Yet, but we are going to make it a feature. If you want it to support PDF please drop us an email to support. If you buy it now and put in your customer notes that you want it to support PDF, we will give you an upgrade for free to the PDF version. Thanks, Carrie |

It's very good - we use a modified version of it, which includes more pdf menu items and cover page etc.! Cheers - Asiaplay |
Re: X-cart to PDF Catalog
Do you have a link to your website. Id like to be able to see how it looks on your site.
I thought I may be able to have a Download PDF Catalogue link on my site but have been advised that it is a link to a webpage where people can then download the catalogue which means I will have to create another link on my homepage to assist customers. Cheers |
Re: X-cart to PDF Catalog
Hi Cerberuscoins,
You can see an example on the arrscommunity site - e.g. download link for example of that module is http://www.arscommunity.com/files/upload/pdf-catalog-example.pdf NB: the catalog is cron generated (this way it doesn't overwork the server to make a copy everytime someone downloads the catalog and just updates the catalog once a day or however often you set the cron job for) and it is kept in a folder under your store domain, so a putting a URL download link anywhere within your store allows people to download it from your own server directly. Our catalog is basically the same as this, with a cover page, some extra text in the page footer and and an index page using SKU # (additionally one or more of the product categories, can be included or left out of the catalog, as one chooses). Cheers - Asiaplay |
Re: X-cart to PDF Catalog
Would be great if we could see a copy of your modified catalog and how you changed the coding to achieve it.
