adding background - how
 

Hi,
I like to add a background to the Pink mosaic . Maybe someone can tell me what size image i need, what resolution, and how do i ass it to the site..step by step :oops:
i see 2 options

pixel 900 x 844 72dpi size 0.8 Mpixels
pixel 1863 x 1748 300dpi size 3.3 Mpixels


Appreciate any help.

300 DPI is a standard print resolution, and widely considered much to large for web applications.

I save all graphics at 72 dpi for the web.

As for the size it depends on how you want the iamge to look as your background. Play around with different sizes to find the one that works best.

you will add the image via your style sheet to the body tag.

check this out for a quick HTML and CSS tutorial.

also make sure you use firefox and get firebug, measure it, and the color it add-ons.
