Strange email problem with 4.3
 

I am trying to display "email us" on a page and for some reason it's not working. checked the code and everything looks ok.

Also i had mail link that worked fine on 4.1.8 that is too not working anymore.

any idea?

Make sure you edit the correct file - skin1/customer is where all client side files are

I added the email on a static page using the WYSIWYG editor
why i need to edit skin1....

You don't need to edit skin1... I was just saying that if you are editing client's side files they are located in skin1/customer. This doesn't apply for static pages.
<a href=mailto:name@gmail.com>email me</a> should work
Also you will be better off using FTP client with built in text editor instead of WYSIWYG editor in xcart admin
