slideshow -rotating images
Hi,
I'm trying to understand the difference between slideshow, image rotating, flash and so on. What would be the best option to use on welcome page , Looking to have image clickable, option to add caption on image, be seo friendly and would not slow cart loading. Appreciate any info Tammy |
Re: slideshow -rotating images
Well, you need a custom script. Flash is really beautiful, but I don't think it can be helpful for the SEO. Browse google for some nice js slideshow...

Re: slideshow -rotating images
JQuery is what I ended up using. Its free and there are dozens of examples online.
If you want an automated solution that doesnt require too much effort, you can try "Front page slideshow". Its ~$30 and will work on any php based site. I dont remember the exact site url, but its the 1st thing that comes up when you google "front page slideshow". Both of the above options are SEO friendly. Flash on the other hand is not. Also, the two mentioned above do not tend to add too much to load time (if any). It will all depends on image sizes, ect. Good luck |

I use several different scripts from dynamic drive, depending on what I want.
