what makes the dialog_bg.gif repeat
 

I must be really stupid. I can't figure out how to add a custom graphic to the dialog.tpl without it repeating.

In other words if my dialog_bg.gif graphic is 100 pixels wide it repeats across the top of the dialog box.

to stop it repeating make it over say 700 pixels wide.

check the size of dialog_bg.gif

that seems like a waste of loading time. i made mine about half the width of the original, but i can't get it to stop repeating with "background-repeat: no-repeat". why is that?

the image will still repeat if you have your resolution width at more than 800, which a lot of people do now. i still can't get this crazy thing to stop repeating.

i guess the semi-colon goes in quotes. that's what ended up working for me.
