Extra Field In Cart & Checkout
 

Brain Trust,

I have an extra field called "size" showing in my product catalog for each item. How do I make this reflect in the user's shopping cart as well as in the last step of fast lane checkout that shows all items about to be ordered? I've seen a couple of other similar posts, need specific info for 4.2.

Extra fields show in cart by default. What exactly are you after?

The field is showing in my product thumbnail pages in catalog, but not in shopping cart or in the last step of checkout where order details are listed. Not happening by default. I'd like customers to be able to see my size field in the shopping cart and in checkout.

Can you post url? Unless you or someone else customized the cart to do this that is not default behaviour

I actually did have a programmer force the text to show in product thumbs page, because when I originally added the field it didn't show ANYWHERE.

When I look under products/extra fields in my admin environment, it's there....and the "show" box is checked. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I don't know where my brain was yesterday - the whole time I was under the impression (for some reason) you are talking about product options not product extra fields. Sorry. Yes extra fields are not available by default anywhere except for product details page. You will have to get this one custom coded. I might be able to help you. PM me.
