amazon like catagories?
I am putting a shoe website together and I would like for the categories to work more like amazon. I like the tree look but the categories are not as flexible as I would like.
I would like for people to be able to click on a one of the main categories Examples: Ballet Ballroom Tap Jaz and then be shows (on the left side bar) a list of all the product modifications Example: color red black blue Heal Height 1" 1.5" 2" over 2" so and and so forth..... I realize that I can do this the fancy categories except I don't want the other sub categories, (such as heal height) to go away after someone chooses a color. Does this make sense? Also, with the fancy categories when you use the tree look the sub categories do not show up in the left category after you choose the root category example: If I choose the root category it does not automatically show the sub root categories bellow that on in the left column. ( I got rid of the center column, it take away from the easy product viewing.) Any suggestions are welcome to solve these problems. I'm really lost on where to go with this. |
