Adding an icon
When you add a website to your "favorites" in the explorer toolbar, some websites have custom icons that show up to the left of the site name.
Anyone know how to change it from the generic IE icon? Thanks, Jake McKee |
Here Ya go...
Get your favorite icon editor - microangelo?
make an icon 16 x 16, upload it to your root directory -ie the one where your index.htm is held and name it favicon.ico - done if you do not have access to your root directory - use <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" href="/wherever/favicon.ico"> . (only IE users are going to see it) there u have it Michael www.lingerieblowout.com |
put the icon in the same folder as index.html and name it favicon.ico. This only works in IE and it's inconsistent. Good luck. :D
