10 Beta Testers wanted:
We are looking for ten beta testers for a trial of our Shopfront monitoring software. In return for beta testing our product, we will grant a lifetime license for the software. Only the first ten applicants that meet our criteria will be considered. Please PM me - I will update this thread as soon we have enough candidates. Here are our requirements:

• X-cart 4.1x or later
• UK based sites (The software will work anywhere but we have some unique features for UK operation)
• 6 x XP users
• 2 x Vista users
• 2 x Win7 users
• MySql database must be accessible by direct connection on the standard port (3306)

What is Shopfront?
It is a Windows based front end that allows users to monitor one or more x-cart databases for new sales. In addition Shopfront allows for easy searching on exsting orders by name, postcode etc.. The list of features as shown below is fairly extensive. However the software does not try to imitate the web based back end, simply add monitoring facilities coupled with quick and easy methods for day to day operations. It has been in use for some years now as a bespoke development and has been rewritten for general use.

There are no gimmicky features just time saving functions that will ease the day operation of an x-cart site

• No changes required to x-cart installations (x-cart 4.1+)
• Supports multiple shops
• Sits in system tray when not in use
• Customisable and dockable sidebar and toolbars
• Postcode checker support (we use google maps)
• Tracking support (passes data to a tracking url)
• Easy order search (name, partial postcode, order etc.)
• Orders can be grouped, sorted and filtered with ease
• Sound alerts for sales (optional)
• SMS alerts with scheduler (optional)
• Invoice and delivery notes at a touch of a button
• One button changes to order status
• Easy access to your shop (buttons for browse and admin)
• Carrier support (currently under test)
• Custom mails from user templates
• County lookup (UK Only)
• Country Lookup (Can show communities such as EC etc.)
• Sales by product and referrer reports
• Customisable "Homepage" and userlinks for quick access
• Feed manager for creating feeds such as Googlebase
• Migration tools for moving/upgrading x-cart shops

Just to confirm a few PM's asking

Q. What server changes are required?
A. None, zip

The software leaves x-cart intact and simply reads or sets existing fields.

No Mac beta testers needed?

Ummm not sure about macs...

Seriously, It is a Ms Windows based front end written in Delphi, so not easily ported.

I have no problems with macs but my existing x-shops customers are all windows based and the program started life as a bespoke utility for our own customers.

Once it is up and running, I would conside a mac version but only if I was sure there would be enough potential sales. I do not want to make a fortune, but just like you, I need to live...

I sell webshops and have multiple users on Mac, no guarantee they would be interested, but at least I am. :)
