Hide Quantity Available
 

Hi,

i have changed my product list view to Column view.

now I see (1000 available).

I don't want to know my customer how many products I have.
How can I hide it.
I did uncheck Show quantity in stock from appearance settings.

Well that's odd, because by default, that doesn't appear on the listings page - it only appears on the product detail page, and from there can be turned on/off in admin, as you have done.
So somehow, you must have added this code into the template.
Have a look at skin1/customer/main/products_t.tpl and search for "avail" and see if you can find the code and remove it.

I had the same problem and ended up removing it in the languages. Used webmaster to find the name then searched in language area.

I need to keep track of my inventory and I was just wondering if it effected your inventory tracking?

Hi, it's too late for me now, 2:11am need sleep.

I will try again tomorrow for you, sure it doesn't affect stock control, my site only just gone up, it's WIP.

I have just processed 1 product thro sagepay form (in test) everything marked ok, it then made the invoice.

Checked the product in admin & had reduced by 1

No email this time to say decreased will check that out

Are you supposed to get an email saying that product xyz was reduced by 1?

I have tried a few different transactions, I find that I only get email when low limit reached. If I set it say 10 then when I hit 10 left I get email. If I reduce it further I get email telling me the new level.

To use it for full stock notification You would need to set your low limit at least as high as your full stock level.

Uncheck the Show quantity in stock check box (under appearances) hope this helps

The 1st pic is admin with check boxes cleared, 2nd pic is customer side which doesnt show the value because of that
do the check box 1st and see the results

3rd picture is before I edited anything out. (2nd pic where it says condition I put that in as I was going to put all the fields in admin ready for google base feeds-might leave that in customer side yet)

final picture shows the email. just from a dummy site I use to test tells you stock left
