Featured Products - Different # of prod columns
 

Is it possible to have 3 columns of products on the featured products listing, and 4 columns on the rest of the product listing pages?

You should be able to. There are plenty of threads discussing this same thing for "recommends" and "related products" that should able to be adapted. The big question is, would you want it to be configurable so that you can change it later if you change your mind?

Also, it would be nice to have to have it not display in more than one column if there are less products than the number of columns stipulated, like...

(for 4 columns)

(for 4 columns but only 3 in stock)
x - description
x - description
x - description

Anyway, it can be done, just not easily.
