Power Filter from XCartMod.com - your thoughts/experiences?

Hoping this is the right place to post this request!

I'm looking at Power Filter with a view to helping us improve the browsing experience on our site.

I wondered if anyone was willing to comment on their experience using the product?

I'm particularly interested to hear from people who've had to create the extra fields data that drives the filters from scratch. We have a very large existing product database, so we'd be retrospectively tagging all our products which could be quite a painful process...

Any advice and comments would be very welcome.

Thanks,

Rachael

Hi Rachael,

Here is the larged thread related to this mod: http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=36756

Regarding Extra Fields data, there's a few options here. The mod allows automatic price break filters and also picks up product option / variant data. For Extra Fields we install an option so you can choose whether the field is multi value or single value as default. Either way, each of these extra fields supports import and export.

Feel free to drop me a call if you want more details.

Regards,

Craig

Hi Craig,

Thanks - I'd read that thread! I'm just particularly interested in hearing from people who've implemented it. We would be creating and applying our filter data in the extra fields completely from scratch, so it would be good to know how time-consuming/difficult that is. Can changes be applied in bulk, for example, or will it be a case of editing individual products one by one?

Thanks,

Rachael
