Mobile Mod anyone?
 

Hi guys, I am very conscious that more and more sites are offering an alternative simpler view of their sites designed to meet the needs of smartphones.

Does anyone know of anyone creating a mod that translates a store into a mobile friendly version?

rant: Wordpress (albeit not a competitor to x-cart) has got around TEN plugins offering this modification and they, like Wordpress itself are free.

Why oh why is x-cart in the slow lane?

Agree... mobiles have been used for years for e-commerce already.
In some markets (e.g. Japan) 30% of all sales made by women are done using a mobile phone!!!
Scary to be missing this market as it develops more (and I don't believe pda style browser applications will replace a faster, cleaner mobile interface - I did for awhile think this).

X-Cart is really asleep on this factor and needs to wake up a little and do something!

I will look at getting a mod done in about 6 months time (too busy for the present and have other more immediate priorities) - so also interested if anyone has anything?
