Increase text window of extra field in ADMIN view

I would like to increase the viewable text box in ADMIN mode for one of my Extra Fields (NOTES) so that I can see the whole sentence and not just 30 characters.

Please can somebody tell me how to accomplish this.

Changing <input> to <textarea> should work.

how to add character counter to text field?

Or at least to limit how many character user can enter.

Is it possible to specified different size of the text area for different products.
