Displaying Sub Cateogry Descriptions and Icons
I'm tyring to get this page:
https://juhlir.tempdomainname.com/store/home.php?cat=249 to look like this layout: https://juhlir.tempdomainname.com/mockups/quadrel_products_landing.jpg Right now I have the sub cats set to display in columns - which is not really correct. I really want them in a list format with icons and descriptions. Can someone point me in the right direction? (4.2.2) Thanks!! |
Re: Displaying Sub Cateogry Descriptions and Icons
In General Settings/Appearance Options turn off "Display subcategories list in multiple columns". You may also need to edit the template to show category descriptions

Re: Displaying Sub Cateogry Descriptions and Icons
skin1/customer/main/subcategories_list.tpl is the template showing cats/subcats as a list.

Re: Displaying Sub Cateogry Descriptions and Icons
Thank you! I've been staring at the code and am not quite sure what to do - not being a PHP programmer, lol! I do see code that refers to the icon and description. Can anyone help me out with what code replaces what in order to achieve this effect:
