Hello guys, please someone clarify if that i will tell is true or false.. (coz i really don't know)

When the cart has only 1 product, and that product is marked with Free shipping, the COD payment method has to dissapear from payment methods or not?

Can't see any logic why it would "have" to - sounds like someone built this into the code somewhere.... one of those x-cart surprises we call bugs (QT often calls a function ;) )

Even if COD was to disappear with "free shipping" ticked - it should happen all the time (not just with one product in the cart only) - shouldn't be quantity linked as I see it (can not see the logic in a rule based on quantity).

PS: should be a easy fix for a decent developer anyway... so if they can't fix it for you ASAP then PM me and I will intro someone can do it cheaply and quickly (know how annoying these little things can be!)

no basically it's not that exactly the problem. The problem is that i asked QT to make a code for me. The code i wanted was :
I have a product hidden extra field for products that i ship with e-mail, when it's "Y" an icon appears on product description and informs customers.

Also for those products i check the "Free shipping" to hide the shipping options. So i asked the QT to give me a code that will hide the COD payment method when the extra field is "Y".

They gave me a code that didn't work, and after a few messages, they told me that the code is correct, but doesn't work because i use One page checkout, coz the one page checkout processes the variable $display_cod wrong..

Anyway, in the last message from QT to prove me the thing about variable, they told me that the one page checkout displays the COD payment method even if the product is checked with free shipping..

Ok - so QT didn't change the code for One page checkout (as it is not an X-Cart standard - not helpful really, as if it doesn't work at checkout, is a useless mod to you)...
I guess the outcome on this depends on how you wrote the specification then (as they are very word for word on these things).
But should be an easy fix if they want to help... good luck!

If you can temporarily disable your one page checkout mod, you can verify if QT designed to your agreed upon specification.
