Kicking around x-mall
In much the same vein as the user in this thread:
http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=17610&highlight=x-mall ...I am looking to carter to specific niche markets with my cart. In poking around here for the last 30 min X-mall is looking to be a good option for me. I want to have one main catalog that has ALL my available products listed in it, and then have different "providers" represented by various makes and models of cars. They will tailor their specific sites to cater to the crowds they market to, but the site will still have the same look and feel throughout. All the satellite stores will carry and sell products for all the main categories, but will have dedicated categories for items specific to the niche where items will be placed (items will be given shared categories which will be specific to the niche). Thing is I want control of everything. I want my providers to be contracted independents poking around niche forums bringing sales in. One processor. All payments to me. I do all the shipping. The contractors will edit the categories and individual products that are specific to their niche. They would even have their own static pages for articles, installations, etc. While the categories would only be seen by the intended niches, the products will be edited to cater to niches yet be available for viewing by anyone. I envision an eclectic array of product definitions and marketing techniques done within the confines of one store. Think Amazon meets eBay. One store. Lots of variety and as a customer you see marketing angles that appeal to you most (assuming my contractors are doing a good job). Is X-Mall right for me? |

Hey Marcus, moving to the Third Party Add-Ons forum.

One more thing, I need to be able to keep track of what sales are going with what niche store so I can pay the contractors properly.
And will mods in the main store be effective in all x-mall stores? |
Re: Kicking around x-mall
Our X-mall sounds very close to what you need. I'd recommend emailing us with any questions so we can get back to you easier with answers and any questions we might have for you.
Thank you, Carrie |
