Menu box edging missing

Hi
Please take a look at my site, the Authentication Menu on the right hand side has a problem.
The right hand side has a dark edging strip missing, does anyone know how i can correct this.

All the other boxes are looking fine.

Please can anyone help ?

The strip is missing in IE not in FF. Check the sizes of the elements - something is pushing the border to far to the right

Check the width for class="menu-dialog menu-auth", also you have styles sheets already in place to for IE 6 and IE7, you may want to see if a hack is in place for the border in IE7 (*:first-child+html).

I checked this in Safari, FF and it looks fine. When tested in IE7 as you described, the border does not show. Also, when tested in IE6, the rounded look is no longer there in each menu box.

You can use these tools to look at the CSS:

FF - Firebug

IE - Microsoft IE Developer Toolbar

I don't have 4.2, so I'm not familiar with the different css sheets used for different browsers & version - but it appears there are different border styles being used.

most likely you will need to decrease the size of the input fields for the auth box.

Hi valks1 -

I don't know if this has anything to do with what you are observing:

The first time I looked at your site in FF, I did not have javascript enabled. From what I can see, in 4.2, the css styles for the authentication box are controlled by javascript - so with javascript off, the styles look different.

When I enable javascript, the css for your authentication input looks like this:
class="menuInput menuInput-Blur"

which is probably not expected? You may need to take a look at any changes you made relative to the clearingInput function in the javascript here /skin1/jquery.clearinginput.js

Anyway - maybe what you are observing is the css defined in menuInput-Blur - which has a border style of inset, which would shade the left and upper border of the box.
