Adding a "Second" Featured Product Section
 

Hi Again All,

I'm wanting to have two sections on my homepage for products - one for "featured products" and the other for "Specials". These specials would simply need to be another manually configured list, just like featured products. I'm basically looking to duplicate the featured products section so I can have to lists of products on my home page. I was thinking I could possibly just create a category for them and then include those products onto my homepage, but I'm just not quite sure how to do that.

Any help would be AWESOME!

Just duplicate the featured product That is the best option to do.
To find the featured product code(include/categories.php):D/ :D/

Hi Vetrivel,

I see how that could work, but I'm quite confused as to how to actually copy featured product code to create a second one (especially how to control that second one via the admin.)

I don't see any code in include/categories.php concerning featured prods (only subcats, fancy categories, etc.) I'm using v. 4.2.

If you can shed some light on how to do this that would be AWESOME! Thanks!

there are some mods out there that allow for this. I think firetank does one.

Just search featured product mods.
