Problems saving changes to css files?
Hi to you all, new member.
Ok I'm new to using this so please bear with me. I can't seem to permanently save the changes to the css files I'm attempting. In the admin section, when I try changing it and hitting "save" I get an error something like "File operation is failed" - that's a good start 8O - but having looked that up on this forum, it's obvious that it's a general error that a lot of folks are encountering. So I decided to fire up Filezilla, ftp up to our files, and load the .css file into notepad - I'm just playing around with "main.css" for now. So after I've made changes I upload again to Filezilla overwriting the original one no probs, however when I go back to the admin section in x-cart, the changes haven't been saved. I've even deleted the main.css file altogether through filezilla (It's defintely not there!) but still when I go to the admin section, sure enough yes it is still there. Erm... what's going on, any ideas? |

Re: Problems saving changes to css files?
Hmmm.... I tried applying that patch in the admin area, but it just told me "the contents of the file are corrupted" and a few other error messages... (lost track of all the error messages now).
I don't really mind about not being able to do it in the admin area, as I prefer to use notepad++, but I can't understand the overwriting of it in Filezilla and then this not registering in the admin area... wierd. Thanks for the swift help, appreciate it..... |

I had to edit the file manually according to the patch file but it did end up fixing the problem. |
