Changing X-Cart Skins
 

We are running on version 4.1.10 and we have decided we want to change our skin layout. As of right now, we are using X-Cart's Crystal Blue skin which has 3 others to choose from. I know I can install the other skins by simply doing the install script (install.php) and enter in our authorization code. However, if I do this, it will overwrite all of the tpl changes we have made previously (moved menus, added logos, mod changes, etc.)

So my question is, what is the best way to change skins without overwriting our changes that have made on our current skin? Would just moving over X-Cart's image folder work?

Either way you are going to lose your template changes, as a new skin has a different set of templates :(

Boo!

The reason I figured I would ask is, the layouts are all the same. It almost appears that they use different images but organize everything the same way (images use the same name, etc.).

Mostly, yes, but as they didn't use stylesheets and CSS to style them (like they do in 4.2) swapping them means swapping the whole template system.
