Debugging console contents do not get updated

The contents of the dubugging console window do not get updated when I jump to different pages both in Firefox 3.0.5 and IE 7 (it stays 'stucked' in the same content with customer/home.tpl the topmost name). That happens also when in Webmaster mode (in webmaster mode the template editing works ok by clicking on a template name). The only time the contents get updated in the debugging console is when I switch from back-end to front-end, or vice versa. Also, the template names in the console are not clickable (the template editor should appear with the corresponding opened template). They are clickable only in webmaster mode and it works as expected. Also, in webmaster mode, when I press 'e' on the keyboard above a hyperlink label, nothing happens, i.e. no label editing window appears. It works ok when the label is just text (not hyperlink). In the meantime, I have disabled the firewall because I have noticed that it gets in the way and prevents some commands in the admin back-end, so that is not the culprit. In the past I didn't have these problems. Lately I have applied 7-8 known bug fixes but I am almost sure that they are not relevant with my problem. Could you please suggest any tip?

Re: Debugging console contents do not get updated

I want to make a correction to my previous post... Actually it seems that all work ok in Firefox 3.0.5.

The above does not hold for Firefox, only for IE 7.0.5730.13 which outputs a "Done, but with errors on page" error message in the status bar, which when double-clicked it outputs a message saying: "Problems with this page might prevent it from being displayed properly..........." and "Line: 38, Char.1, Error: Expected identifier, string or number, Code:0, URL: <my site's URL>/home.php"...I would like to know the reason for that, but at least I can work in Webmaster mode.
