Moving Coupon
 

Hello Great Ones

I did go look in the forum but I did not find a sure fix.

I would like the coupon to show up in 2 locations and not where it is now.

1. In the summary section at checkout before they make their payment

2. cart.php to the left of the subtotal above the checkout button.

Has anyone done this? X does not put this coupon in a place that the user can find it very easily.

Not possible I'm afraid. The coupon box can't be above the sub-total because it would be a form inside a form, which doesn't work. The checkout script doesn't include a coupon provision. This add-on addresses that issue and more:

Another WOW!

I see the coupon code a checkout on the demo.

I also need it on cart.php

Nothing is easy!

I have a modified cart and adding that demo to the checkout process now would be problematic I think.

I think we should all complain and at least have x-cart move the coupon to the checkout page. What a concept! :)

That mod won't interfere with any customizations, it runs on its own. Coupons in the cart are problematic, as many of them need the customer to be logged in to work.
