news column fixed height v4.2
 

OK, anyone know if it's possible to add a fixed height to the news column on the right in 4.2?
I can't seem to find the height attributes anywhere, or anything in the forums about it.

And what happens if the news does not fit the specified height?

I'm ok with it being cut off as long as it can be seen in the previous news section.. Which I plan on renaming to more news or something like that.

I haven't used the standard news feature in so long I'm not sure if this will work of not. Instead of trying to make the "news" a fixed height, try changing this in today_news.tpl

{$news_message.body}
to
{$news_message.body|truncate:100:"...":true}
then change "100" to whatever figure works for what you want to achieve in height.

What I usually do is just put a link in to "Latest News" and move the "subscribe" to that page.

Do you want to make teaser for every news with a link "read more"?
