X-Cart 4.1.0 with Google Analytics Module
 

Hi,

Our website is currently running under X-Cart version 4.1.0. We recently had the Google Analytics module installed on this version (long story), and enabled it to use our Google Analytics tracking code.

Everything was working fine for approximately 3 days, we were receiving tracking information (although having a bit of trouble getting goal conversion tracking working) but now we are not receiving any tracking information at all (Google Analytics reports that we have not had any visitors for several days - This is clearly untrue as myself and others have visited our page).

I believe the issue is related to some adjustments to .tpl files that was done. Prior to getting the Google Analytics module we followed some small tutorials on attempting to add Google Analytics code via .tpl to our checkout page, so that we could at least get checkout information. I believe the adjustments that were done here are what caused Google Analytics to stop tracking our visitors. Can anyone please advise?

Moving to Template Editing, as GA isn't one of the X-Cart add-ons.

Did you do the installation of the new module yourself? And did you keep backups of the templates you edited?

The module installation was done by Qualiteam, I believe.
Also, the initial templates were backed up (before attempting to follow online tutorials). The template were are currently using is a restoration of the template prior to any edits that we [or Qualiteam] did. We were experiencing some problems with templates associated with ordering from our store, unfortunately this seems to have also stopped our Google Analytics from functioning.

You kind of lost me there, but if you restored templates from prior to Qualiteam's work, you could very well have wiped out their work.
