Best version to work with
 

I have recently installed version 4.2.0 as I thought it was the latest version, but have just read that it may be unstable, could someone let me know the best version for me to work with, as I want to change the look and design and have already hit a stumbling block on this version, I dont really want to un install and have to redo everything so could do with some advice before making this decision.

4.1.11 for at least the next 3 months

Version 4.2.0 and 4.1.11 quite different (for the integration of skin). So then perform a full transition from 4.1.11 to 4.2.0 (already heavily modified design in 4.1.11 and additional modules) - will be very difficult.

Maybe it makes sense to start with 4.2.0? :)

If you start with 4.2, not only will you not have any add-ons or skins to choose from, but you'll be constantly applying updates/patches for the next 3 months. Just look at all the problems people are having in the bugs forum. Once again, a buggy release even though we were assured it wouldn't happen this time.
