Error Message not displaying properly in checkout
 

Hello,

I am having a problem, when an error occurs, the messge window is not displaying the correct message -- it displays something else. When I switch on "webmaster mode" in the admin area, the message displays fine.

Here is the text that gets displayed at top of page in checkout process when not filling in proper credit card data:

Error:
~~~~|err_filling_form| ||~~~~

Can anyone help? How can I fix this?

Please don't double post, I have removed your second post on this topic. That usually means a smarty error - did you edit a language variable recently?

I have compared the Smarty code against the original Skin file and they are the same. Curious why the error message displays fine with Webmaster Mode enabled.

This is hard to track down, any more thoughts?? Thanks.

Not the smarty code, a language variable.

I can't say that I have changed a language variable, at least not intentionaly. Any other ideas or how could I diagnose this? Thanks!

I just dropped (deleted) the SQL table named xcart_languages and ran the supplied scripts to create the table and repopulate it with the default xcart data. After that I cleared the template cache though the admin panel. I am seeing the error messages rendering as indicated:

Error:
~~~~|err_filling_form| ||~~~~

I even have some other pages I noticed render the field values icorrectly in the same format. Please, if you can give me any more ideas that would be great! I am almost to the point where I am going to start over and I am up against a deadline.

Any further ideas would help greatly?
