Help creating page(s) based on custom field

I need to create a page/pages that will sorta act the like the manufacturers.php page where it lists all the kinds of different possibilities that are in my custom field.
The custom field is 'size' for a shoe store.
I'll need to have the page display a link to a sorted page
size 5 (10 items)
size 5.5 (7 items)
size 6 (6 items)
etc etc.

Then by clicking on the 'Size 5' page, it will display thumbnails of only the shoes that have a size of 5.
I'm guessing this will need to be two pages. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like a pretty daunting task. I don't understand the reason for the custom field. Are you saying that you have each "size" for every "shoe" listed as a separate product?

Re: Help creating page(s) based on custom field

You might be able to manually build such a page by using the advanced search on extra fields and using the page URL generated by the search. But if you have a lot of categories and extra fields to search, it could take a while.

As a alternative (not exactly what you asked but close), you could look at the quick search by xcart.mods. It can do a search based on the extra fields - which seems to correlate with how you are managing the sizes in your store (?). You could also speak with xcart mods if you use something else besides the extra fields (for example options or variants). Last time I asked, they were considering adding that capability.
