failed message permissions correct
I am trying to configure my storefront and I am slowly learning the program. However I am not able to edit an of the templates. Skin1/customer/header.tpl is the one I am trying to change as I would like to add my logo.
I checked the permissions and they are set correct. I set the chmod to 666 and made sure the admin_safe_mode is set to false. I still get the "file operation is failed" message. Am I missing something here? Any further help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Valerie |
Re: failed message permissions correct
It is a bug in 4.2 - there is a patch, but I can't seem to find it in all the 4.2 threads....

Thank you so much. I thought I was losing my mind. I have now applied the patch and I am now able to edit the templates. Thanks again for your help!

Re: failed message permissions correct
I my self am having this same problem.
Could someone tell me where I have to go to edit the $admin_safe_mode to false? And Is the patch.txt a SQL patch? Thank you in advance. John |
Re: failed message permissions correct
I am learning all this myself and am by far no means very knowledgeable about this stuff, but here is the info I do know. I double checked the config.php file to made sure the admin_safe_mode is set to false. As far as the patch goes. I saved the patch then went to my site. Under the administration there is a link for update/patch. Click here then find your saved file (patch) and load it. All went well for me and I only hope that I did it all correctly (it works now at least).

Re: failed message permissions correct
it is not a sql patch. download the "patch.txt" and rename to "patch.diff" and apply from your admin/patch section
