Confused with Head template 4.2
 

I thought I'd install 4.2 and have a play around, first thing is I thought 4.2 was css based and not tables yet in the head template its full of tables? (thats as far as ive got)

Anyhow, I made changes to the head template with the logo and size yet they do not show up on the frontend, thinking this was a cache problem I cleared the cache and even rebooted the pc but still the changes were not there. I asked a mate to look and he confirmed that it was still the same as the default. I then looked at the source code and theres nothing even there for the head section.

Very confused here.

Found the problem, when editing the head template in 4.1 you edited the /skin1/head.tpl now you have to edit the skin1/customer/head.tpl and it is css based.

What does the old head template with tables control then, am i missing some setting somewhere???

Its not as there is still the head_admin.tpl template aswell which controls that.
