XC-SEO Weird Situation
So a while ago I had Jon Install XC-SEO for me. Now at the the bottom of my website where the poweredby language normally reside there is a ecommerce by phpsitesolutions.com.
In addition to this anytime I try to change my admin email and all the other email address in the general settings. it defaults back to @phpsitesolutions.com Has anyone encountered this problem since installing this mod? How do I change these things? Thanks, Jeremy |

This sounds like a very serious issue if what you're describing is correct! I would recommend you have us or some other reputable company look into this and remove the code immediately! It sounds like he's somehow "infected" your X-cart install and taken over atleast a few things. Who knows what else is happening behind the scenes! I hope you can figure this out quickly and without too much damage! Just let us know if we can help. Carrie |
Re: XC-SEO Weird Situation
The admin email addresses are particularly concerning as that means he can request admin password and login to your admin at any time, and may also be receiving email notifications etc. I would start by adding .htpasswd protection on the admin directories (if already present make sure login/pass is updated) and then go from there.
