Change color of orange bar

Spending hours on something that should be simple. I'm trying to change the color of the orange bar with the search box in it that runs across the top of the pages. This is version 4.1.11, and I'm just starting to modify. Webmaster mode points me to the head.tpl but I can't find. I believe it is an image titled headline1 and headline2. I've also searched the skin1 template and nothing. Any ideas appreciated, thank you.

Try looking at the .Headline class in skin1.css. Depending on your skin it could be an image (head_linebg.gif) or a background color.

You might also find the Firebug addon in Firefox very useful at tracing things like this. You can inspect anything on the page and see the css and html code that are controlling it.

There it was, sitting in the .Headline class in skin1. I probably missed it a dozen times. Thanks for focusing me in the right direction.
