Wishlist Options

Morning all,

Couple of quick questions on Wishlist items -

Is there a limit to how many products a customer can have within wishlist? If so, can that limit be changed, or removed?

I have test account setup with lots of products in my Wishlist, one of them says

(all items already purchased)

And as a result the Add to Basket link has been removed. Is there a way of removing this? I am not sure why/when this is triggered?

Has anyone expereinced anything simliar or have any answers to the above?

Thanks in advance

I don't know how many items can be in the wishlist, it has never been an issue. On your test account, have you purchased the items at some other time not using the wishlist?

Maybe, I honestly can;t remember!

Is this what would trigger something like this?

Am really trying to find either a setting or tpl file to edit to stop this from happening - if poss!!

What is it you want to stop happening?
1. Not inform the customer that "(all items already purchased) " and display the products anyway?
2. Not show anything at all since the products were already purchased.
3. Inform the customer that "(all items already purchased)"

I actually think #2 would be the best, since #3 infers that the products in the wishlist are still there and being tracked, just not displayed. It appears #3 is the default scenario used by x-cart.

I want the products to ALWAYS display and therefore stop this (all items already purchased)

We have bespoke prices within the Wishlist section, therefore customers who we quote we then setup on the web with the products in their quote available at a bespoke price within their Wishlist.

As they are items they will buy over and over again (hopefully!!) I always want them to be able to add to basket from the Wishlist.

Re: Wishlist Options

You best bet is to use webmaster mode and find what templates are being used. Then find where the "(all items already purchased)" is being called, then comment it out. Next find the routine that lists the products on the wishlist and removed the part that says not to list them if they were already purchased.

It may be that the items are removed from the wishlist as they are purchased, but because it is saying "(all items already purchased)" I don't think so.

This is what I believe is happening. Once you buy a product via the wish list, you will not be able to buy it again via the wishlist. You would need to to reove the item from the list and add it again for the buy button to work.

Bit Crap.

Other wise change the buy link to not go via the wish list call, then it become a normal buy.
