Variable Problem
Hi everyone,
I'm having a small problem with a language variable I created. It shows up if I test it in head.tpl with this: {$lng.lbl_test_variable} However, if I put this line anywhere in the product.tpl file, nothing shows up. :( Does anyone know why this is happening? Does it have something to do with product.php? Thanks, John |

Clear your template cache using the summary/tools link.

Re: Variable Problem
Hi Balinor,
Thanks for the reply. I tried that and the force generation tool. Problem is still there. Whats weird is that some language variables work and some don't in the same location. All the variables show up perfectly normal in the admin and other parts of the store. Is there anything else that could restrict certain variables from being read through product.tpl? |
Re: Variable Problem
No, it should work fine no matter what template you place it in. I've had issues with this in the past on other client sites - usually the clear cache tools do the trick. Clear your browser cache as well, and try it in another browser.

Re: Variable Problem
Ok thanks for the help. I guess I will have to play with it and hope for the best. I'll try creating a new variable and test that as well.
