Looking for Backorder Mod
 

I am looking for a way to backorder items after an order is place. I don't keep real time inventory because a lot of my items are drop shipped and it's just a PITA. I looked around but don't see a third part mod that will allow me to backorder certain items when I change order status and add tracking info.

I don't want a backorder mod that shows items backordered in the store, I want to set them as backordered in the admin section. Not the whole order, just certain items.

Thanks, I looked at that mod but it seemed like you backorder an item in admin before the sale. I want to set certain items as backorder after the sale. I'll read more on it and contact them.

It sounds like you need the X-AOM module from X-cart. It doesn't include a "backorder" function by default, but there is a thread here http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=33007 that discussed numerous additional "status" changes.

Pay attention my notes in posts #42 and #43 (will save a headache later).
