Space in MenuBar

I added my website menubar to X-cart home.tpl. There's a couple problems with this as a space is showing 1/2 the width of the menu container. When I rollover the buttons I see a small black bar (repeat buttons?) that span the length of my menubar and I also see the ? icon image. Can someone point me to the file(s) that would resolve this?

Try make fixed size for images (width=120) and for li - tags.
