Changing background behind website?

Does anyone know how to change the standard white backgroung on the left & right side of the page? These are not the website itself but where the website sits. We are wanting to upload a christmas setting jpeg for this background & later change it depending on the season. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

Re: Changing background behind website?

That's the body tag that controls it, so just add this to your body tag in skin1.css:

background: url(images/imagename.jpg);

Be sure to upload the image to the skin1/images folder.

Also, can you please update your signature with your X-Cart version per the forum guidelines? Thanks!

Re: Changing background behind website?

Ryan,

Thank you for the quick response. I tried it and it worked somewhat but found out that the website is transparent & you can se the background skin through the center of the website. Do you have an offline email address that I can comunicate to you? I have been having issues with the X-Cart team. We recently moved our site from an old url & server to a new url & updated server. Parts of our website that was functioning is now not & these guys are wanting to charge for everything. I caught them trying to charge me for 40 points for them bring up an offer to make changes to the site. I never agreed with them & still was charged even though they did nothing for the points. After telling them about the mis-charge, they credited the points back. I'm not sure i need people like that handling our website. I do not trust them. I have noticed things like this for awhile. Do you offer any services or know of anyone trustworthy & reasonable?

Thanks in advance,

Mark Barrett

Re: Changing background behind website?

Well you'd need to add a background color to the main container/table to eliminate that.

I'm afraid I'm not available for hourly assistance except for sites that we design/develop. You may want to try posting a request in the pro services - requests forum.

Also, please take a moment to update your signature. Thanks!
