adding extra product option to the product list page
 

HI all,
I am wondering if there is a way to add an options box to the product list page- not the detail page.
This client offers multiple sizes of the same item ( S, M, L, ETC), the price changes with each one.

I have set these options and the corresponding variants on the detailed product description but this client wants this option to be on the thumbnail page as well.

I was hoping that I could add this on the same line as the Quantity box, and when the customer hit the " Buy Now " button to advance to the detail page it would reflect the option selected.
His thinking - (I don't agree) is that people want to know that they have options in price, size, etc, before they get to the detail page.

Is this something that can be done?

Not by default, no. Would need to have it custom developed.

Thanks for both replies.
I looked through the forums pretty deeply and thought that was going to be the case.
Are there any programmers you might recommend for either of these things or would you think that x-cart support would be the best solution ?

Ugh- some clients make this so much more difficult than it need be at times :(
