How to I recover the home.php page
Hi guys,
Yep - i know, i should have had a backup handy, but in this case i didn't - so my problem is somehow (i dont know why) but my home.php file has been changed. It has gone from a functioning page, to a blank one with the text "dfsd" in the top left corner) I had the template etc implemented by a hired coder, so i'm really at a loss of how to recover or rebuild this page. Is there a standard file I can use, and then copy required template info in to it???? I have contacted the person who did the template for me but as they are on the other side of the world, it is proving difficult to get in touch with them! =\ I hope someone can be of help. (the site in question is; www.feltboardstories.com.au) Thank you for your time. Joanne |
Re: How to I recover the home.php page
Hi Joanne,
You'll lose any mods etc you had done, but if you login into your admin and go to edit templates, open customer/home.tpl and click the button at the bottom that says restore file. That should pull back the original file into place. Then of course the fun stuff, redoing all the mods etc Good luck |
Re: How to I recover the home.php page
Well, that could be any number of things unfortunately. Tough to tell as nothing is loading on the site except for that page. It looks like your product and static pages are working, just anything with home.php isn't being called. So...you can try restoring the home.php file from the original distribution package. If you don't have one, you can get it from your help desk. I don't think it is a .tpl issue, as the interior pages load fine.
