Editing Messages?

Where do I edit the text messages. On the customer default page the following text appears:

I can not find where to edit?

Should be a languages thing!

As I have already change my cart a lot I am not 100% sure - but what I think that you want to change is the txt_welcome in the Languages section.

On the right select "Languages".
Select your language from the dropdown list.
In the "Select Topic" dropdown select "Text".
Click on page 4 Icon.
It is the last field on the bottom.

If this is not the correct field just search through these until you find the one that is.

You should be able to find it in your skin1/customer/welcome.tpl

another question on editing

I have found my welcome.tpl under customer/main/welcome.tpl and can preview the text in x-carts admin, but how do you actully edit the text (what command or editor)? Obviously I am a newbie so all help is appreciated
