hyperlinking detailed image - how is this done?
 

I hope I am posting this in the correct place. I need to be able to place an image in the detailed images area that has a hyperlink attached.

I will need to be able to move that image to other areas weekly for an event that I am invovled with. The consumer will be looking for this image, and need to be able to click on it- then it takes them to the page they need.

Any ideas, is this fairly simple to do. I would love to use this more often for other things. Thank you !!:D

When you say "move that image to other areas weekly" you mean on a different web page and not move the image on the server, correct? There is no way in x-cart to add a hyperlink to a specific detailed image. You can add the image to the images (not skin1/images) folder and call it using normal html from different areas, like the product description, and the various static pages within x-cart, and link it that way.

What I have to do is place an image in the store- I figured putting it in as a detailed image would be easiest. This is an online shop hop, people come look for the image and need to click it and it takes them to the page they fill out for the drawing that is hosted by the main sponsor.

Then each week I am to move that image, and I was going to remove it as the detailed image where I had it and add it to another product as a detailed image. Again it would need to link

I wouldn't add it as a detailed image, it isn't. Store your image outside of x-cart on the server (the main images folder will work) and call it using normal html from areas that you can add html, and link to it that way.
