Trying to Add an About Us Page
 

I am trying to add a about us page to the site.

I copied the home template and re named it about.

I copied the home.php file and renamed it about.php

I went into both of these and told them to include a template random template that was already on the site so I could make sure the page worked.

I was able to have about.php file that looked like the home page except that template was changed to the random one I picked.

I create another template called about_main and put in the html from Dreamweaver.

(This is where I have the problem) I then tell my about.php and about template to include the about_main template instead of that random template I used.

Then when I go to the page I get a error 1092.

This is my first time trying to create a template with x-cart and I am unsure of all the steps.

What does it look like I am forgetting? Thanks for your help.

Tom, you are working too hard.

Go read up on STATIC EMBEDDED pages.

Wow never even new there was such a section lol. Well thanks for your help. That makes things so much easier.

Isn't about us included in the support section?

Yes it is (so that is an option also i.e. editing languages "lbl_about_us" label I think it is called)... but the "help section" I find is more of a pain than a help... I also bypass it and use extra pages for our about us screen... :)
