Need help with changing images popup behavior

Hello,

I need help with how to change the way that the detailed image popup behave once its clicked. I am using xcart 4.1.9 and when you click the image for it to be enlarged, it resizes the popup box very rapidly about 10x in 5 seconds. When click on the in google chrome, the popup box takes off over to the other side of the screen.

What I want to know is if anyone knows how to set this box to a defualt size so when it popups up it stays in the same location and doesn't try to resize itself.

I've combed the forum and seen this behavior with other posters pop ups also. I am surprised that people settle for this shoddy element in the cart.

Most don't. There are many people using other ways to display detail photos. I use Thickbox, as described in this thread http://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=27058 .
There are also various third party addons and X-cart's X-Magnifier as well.

Re: Need help with changing images popup behavior

Thanks for the reply and I use mods myself. The problem is that a popup detailed image doesn't bother me if it works. I don't feel like I should have to mod everything to make this cart work like it should. I'm surprised that I cannot find a solution that has fixed this shoddy work.

The problem with the Thickbox mod is that you can't click on the standard product image to load the box and the small image previews that are loaded under the main are shrunk from the full size image which makes the page quite a bit larger which increases load times.
