Add product gives me a blank page
 

Hi,

Never seen this before, but I copied my database to a test site so I could try out some addons etc. Before getting to the add on stage I went to modify a couple of products, but after searching and finding them I click on the product link to modify it and I get a blank page, I try and create a new product I get a blank page. If I select a product and try to clone it, I get an error page stating product $0 could not be created.

I've copied again all product_modify.php pages from the live site and pasted into the correct directories. The working site has no problems, but the test site still does.

I've checked nearly every other menu item and all work except for product creation and modifying.

Does anyone have a clue where I should start to look next, I've been scratching my head for hours.

Just a thought, but is your config.php pointing to the correct folder?

Hi JW,

Thanks for replying but that's not the issue as the products are all listed both in admin and customer side. It's a problem if I want to modify a product, clone or add.
I am absolutely stumped and have been trying for 12 hours plus to solve it, doesn't make any sense.

Hi, beetlejuice. Did you figure out a solution to your problem? I'm having the same issue myself. I tried making sure the correct X-Cart files are in place.... even tried to reinstall. Same issue. I remember I had this problem a few months ago with another installation but can't recall how I solved it. Doesn't the XCart people check these forums? Geez...

G'day jessejimz,

If I remember it was a corrupt third party add-on. I removed all my mods and it started working. I then re-installed all the mods one by one and it all worked out in the end. Painfully slow way of finding the problem, but at least the problem was solved.
