product.tpl & products.tpl on same page
I haven't tested this, but was wondering if this is possible, or would it cause conflict issues?
Thanks |
Re: product.tpl & products.tpl on same page
Not sure that is possible, as they use different code to call product items. You'd need to rewrite product.tpl to use the products.tpl code.

Re: product.tpl & products.tpl on same page
bugger - have you tried it ballinor or are you just pretty sure it won't work?

Re: product.tpl & products.tpl on same page
I'm pretty sure it won't work - they use different variables.

Re: product.tpl & products.tpl on same page
That's not possible without customizing PHP code.

Re: product.tpl & products.tpl on same page
OK - so maybe I could achieve the same using another function.
I am looking to place thumbnails of the same category products in 2 or 3 columns down one side of the product display so it is easy to choose another to look at. Maybe I could use "Bestsellers" or something? Has anyone done anything similar? |
Re: product.tpl & products.tpl on same page
Why not use the upselling links module? That's exactly what it does :)

Re: product.tpl & products.tpl on same page
Cool - I'll take a look at upselling links - I've never used them yet :)
Thanks |
Re: product.tpl & products.tpl on same page
With Upselling links - can you do it category wide rather than for each product?
